The Problem of Construction Waste Disposal During Wartime: A Challenge for the Environment and Communities

The full-scale war launched by Russia against Ukraine has caused massive destruction of infrastructure and residential buildings. As a result, enormous amounts of construction waste have accumulated, requiring urgent and proper management. Concrete rubble, bricks, glass, metal scraps, remains of construction structures, and even hazardous materials pose a serious threat to the environment and public health.
